Netflix Party is expanding to HBO, Hulu, and Disney+

In the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic, Netflix Party has seen a surge of new users. Over ten million people have installed Netflix Party and are watching Netflix shows with their friends all over the world. We are now officially the largest social TV app in the world and it’s been awesome to see so many people using NP to stay connected with their friends and loved ones.

We believe watch parties are a fun way to relax and hang out with the people you care about, so we have always wanted to expand beyond just Netflix. We are thrilled to announce in Version 2.0.0 of Netflix Party we now support watch parties on Hulu (with and without ads), Disney+, and HBO (Now and Max).

Renaming Netflix Party to Teleparty

In the coming days, we will be officially renaming Netflix Party to Teleparty on the Chrome and Edge Web Stores. You will continue to be able to conveniently start Netflix Parties right on the Netflix website, but now you can also start parties on Hulu, Disney+ and HBO. To get the party started, open a video on your favorite streaming site and click on the Teleparty icon in your browser.
